How to care for embroidery?

Embroidery is a rather specific decoration of clothes, which also requires proper treatment. How to care for it depends on both the material on which it is located and the method by which it was made. So how to care for fabrics with embroidery?

Not all embroidery is the same - both computer and traditional. It is not only about the size of the decoration itself, but also the type of threads used for it, as well as the material itself on which it was made. Proper care of fabrics that have been decorated with patterns can therefore cause some problems.

How to wash fabrics with embroidery?

The safest method of washing embroidered materials is of course hand washing. However, it is difficult to take care of all clothes that have at least one ornament in this way. Hand washing is therefore used primarily for hand embroidery, which may be damaged by spinning.

Most embroidery - including computer embroidery - is resistant to both detergents and the spinning process itself. Therefore, when deciding on washing, you should be guided by what is on the label. Cotton is washed differently, which, depending on the weave, can be washed even at a temperature of 90°C, and viscose, which prefers lukewarm water not exceeding 40°C, is washed differently.

How to wash computer embroidery?

In the case of computer embroidery, taking care of the cleanliness and hygiene of the material is much easier. This method is used to mark towels that can be exposed to temperatures of up to 95°C, thanks to which they are properly disinfected.

This unique embroidery not only does not get mechanically damaged, but also does not lose its unique colors, which is why it is the best solution for both the catering and hotel industries, where towels and bathrobes are subjected to such treatments relatively often.

What agents should be used to wash embroidery?

In the case of computer embroidery, which is durable, it does not matter what detergents are used for washing. They are also resistant to stain removers without losing their vivid color.

Therefore, when choosing detergents such as powders, liquids or capsules, more attention should be paid to the type of material on which the embroidery is located, so that it retains its elasticity and properties.

How to iron embroidery?

Proper care of materials with embroidery is not limited to washing - it often also requires ironing. How to do this so as not to damage the delicate embroidery? First of all, only use low temperatures, and cover the bottom of the board with a soft cloth, a tetra diaper or a towel. This procedure is used primarily for convex embroideries, so that they do not lose their shape.

Materials covered with embroidery are also ironed on the left side, so that the iron does not run over the embroidery itself.

Taking care of embroidered materials, especially those made using computer technology, is relatively simple - you should follow the instructions on the label. Thanks to this, the pattern will not only retain its color and shape, but above all, it will not be damaged.
